Usually Apple Iphone developer programs cost $99 (Standard)-$299 (Enterprise). But, IPhone Developer program for Universities are absolutely free. That's a great news indeed.

Apple is trying to put in IPhone development program as a part of curriculum and it opens up the possibility for a wide range of applications from students who are interested in IPhone. This could also increase the sales of IPhone among student community.

And with more people working on Iphone Apps, there is more chances of IPhone becoming an Integral part of everyone's life.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

                 Lately I have been hearing this term a lot. I live in florida and I'm kind of looking for part time jobs as a web designer. My favorite place to search for part time jobs are Miami Craigslist. I see a surge of jobs for SEO specialists. Initially, I did not have much exposure to what Search Engine Optimization (SEO) was. I remember my friend working for some company in India, where they asked him to use a particular keyword redundantly so that the search engine can find it. That's the vague Idea, I had about SEO.

Since I felt there was good opportunities for SEO specialists, I wanted to dig deep into it. I came across a 90 page article, which was not very technical, but, yeah, it taught me the basics of what SEO is all about. 

If you want your website to make it to the first page of google then,  good content is not the only thing you got to concentrate on, you got to concentrate on How to sell it and How to make it better than your competitors.

Getting the Task Bar back in SUSE Linux

                 Today I faced a strange problem at office. I use SUSE linux at Office. All of the sudden the task bar vanished. I asked for help, and even people were amused about this problem. At last my colleague fixed the problem by Login in thorough the console and moving the kde or kde4 file from the home directory. In this case when I logged in again, it created a new kde file which contained the task bar. 

                 So if in case you get to face the same problem, just delete the kde file and login again. You'll get your task bar back.

Good Time for H1B Visa Applicants

I trust in the saying that it's good to be fearful when people are greedy and greedy when people are fearful. So this is the time for me to be greedy. I have applied for my H1B visa this year. There are 2 main reasons fo rthis decision though I could have applied next year.

1. The economy is not doing that great. Lot of big players are shying away from the H1B race. Which opens the gate for the small players like my company.

2. I get a chance to apply one more time, because I'm right now on CPT and I get another chance next april.

So people who have applied for H1B this year, stand a good chance of getting through the hurdle.

Today @ Office

Not a great day. Things were not falling in place. Don't know whether it's friday syndrome. Have my exams next week. So, I'll be dragging the weekend along with me sitting at home. Have a plan of going to Key west along with my team. Have not spoken to them about it.

Anything and everything after the exams!!!

Decided to stay at the place where I'm staying right now. Justin, the person who shares the house with me said that this house is under foreclosure. So probably after another 2 months, we don't need to pay rent for the coming 2-3 months.

Someone's misery turns out to be our happiness. World is a Jungle.

Sometimes I do watch the series "Office" along with my room mates. When I get to office I dream about a office like that, and I say to myself it's just a dream. My workplace is not as funny as what they show in the series, But, it is funny at times.
