Building a Travel WebSite

I was speaking to one of my friends at workplace about building a website, Which will bring some additional income. He has already done some work on it. He has built a site for Hotel Bookings. I was truly Inspired by the Idea. He said he made almost $8000 a month,  when he was properly maintaining the website. His Site Hot Rate Hotels was second in Google results, when he was maintaining the site properly. This piece of information truly Inspired me.

When I went on to web, to know how I can build such a web site. There was no clear piece of information. Later, I figured out that Kayak and SideSteps provides API's that can be used to get the search results from them. Kayak Limits the number of search Information to 1000 for every 2 hours.

I came across much more efficient source of information, This article gives information about 5 best travel api providers. Another way of getting data from another source is through mashup's. Mashup's are the means through which you aggregate information from different sources.

Web 2.0 has opened up all the possibilities to make the web as the friendliest place for the users. People are adopting to open source architectures, which can give them more exposure among the developer community. The most coolest application's can be build through the open source API's.
